At Sac Town Ballers, our goal is to foster a positive, competitive, and growth-oriented environment for all our athletes. To ensure fairness and consistency, we approach every tryout with the same evaluation process and standards for every player.
What We Look For
While athletic ability and basketball experience are factors in our evaluations, they are not the only things that matter. Above all else, we prioritize:
- Coachability: A willingness to listen, accept feedback, and put effort into improving.
- Teamwork: Being a great teammate, supporting others, and putting the team's success first.
- Positive Attitude & Effort: Bringing high energy, respect, and a strong work ethic to every session.
Roster Decisions & Placement
As a small, dedicated program with limited gym space, coaching staff, and development resources, we are unfortunately unable to offer a roster spot to every player who tries out.
Our focus is on placing players in environments where they can grow effectively. If we determine that a player needs more hands-on foundational development than our current team resources can accommodate, we will communicate this directly and gladly recommend partner programs or local skills clinics better suited to support their current stage of development.
